Creative
Soulwork

Your soul needs nourishment.

If you neglect it, it drains all passion and colour from life.

Perhaps you recognise this:

Apathy
Frustration
Disconnection
Lack of enthusiasm
Feeling stuck
Uncertain
Lost

It need not be this way.
Instead you can live with:

Passion
Curiosity
Fulfillment
Creative Satisfaction
Alignment
Peace
Calm

You can live a life where you put your creative genius at the service of your soul’s health.

This is what I call Creative Soulwork.

Soul-sickness can happen at any stage of life:

+ you’re completing your education and thinking about ‘a career’;

+ you’re in the regular routine of work, but something is lacking;

+ you’re realising you’re in the wrong profession;

+ you’ve spent time as a parent or carer and now wonder what’s next;

+ you’re recovering from burnout or ill-health;

+ you’ve achieved financial success but still feel empty;

+ You’ve always pushed your creative needs to one side, as if they don’t matter;

+ you’ve reached retirement and want the next phase of life to be vibrant and meaningful.

Does this sound like you?
Your soul is talking to you.
It wants nourishment.

What is
Creative Soulwork?

There are many ways to feed the soul.

Engaging with creativity is one of the most powerful.

When we paint, dance, act, write, sculpt, sing, or do anything else creative, we nourish the soul and heal our deepest hurts.

But…. only if we do it FOR IT’S OWN SAKE.

Being creative for a living – or to gain ‘likes’ on Social Media – can be more soul-destroying than soul-nourishing.

Creative SoulWork is a dedicated space where you can let your creative practice heal your soul, rekindle passion, and deepen your sense of purpose.

It’s about integration and health.

Will it help you earn a living as an artist?

Yes – if that’s what you want.

If it’s not what you want, it will help you find calm, balance, purpose, enthusiasm, confidence and passion.

How is
Creative Soulwork
Structured?

Creative SoulWork is talking AND doing.

Each session combines insight, inspiration, creative practice, feedback and coaching.

We talk, create, give and receive feedback, and use what you’ve discovered as the basis for a coaching conversation.

The 10 weeks split up like this:

First 4 Sessions: Generative Creativity.

Each session we focus on a different way of creating (or ‘creative modality’): writing, drawing, meditative movement, ‘deep listening’.

This is generative work with no concern for how ‘good’ the outcome is. It’s pure creativity.

Working in different modalities (especially ones you may not be comfortable in) lets you focus on your creative process, not on its product.

Second 4 Sessions: Developmental creativity.

Each week you’ll return to something you made in the first four sessions, seeing how to develop it and go deeper.

We’ll either use the same four creative ‘modalities’ as during the first block, or focus on your preferred mode of creative expression – that’s up to you.

Final 2 Sessions: ‘Deep-dive’.

Reflecting on what you’ve discovered over the previous weeks, you’ll dive deep into your creative practice – what it is and why you need it.

We’ll identify what you need from creativity and how to develop the discipline to nourish it.

What happens in Each session?

Each session will start with 15 minutes of exploring an insight and inspiration.

Then we’ll do 15 minutes of creative practice. I’ll give a prompt and we’ll both create, separately.

Then we’ll share what we’ve made.

It’s a focused time of accountable creative practice.

Next we’ll feedback – concentrating on what delights us, what works, what we found exciting.

These are the true fuel for creativity.

Feedback should ‘en-courage’: ‘make brave’. You’ll learn how to do that better.

Finally we’ll reflect.

What has the session revealed?

We’ll have a coaching conversation, to help you identify and eradicate personal – and creative -blockages.

You’ll be given a creative challenge for the week between sessions, and sometimes I’ll send you additional stimulus as well.

Outcomes

You’ll (re)connect with your creativity – and through it nourish your soul.

You’ll have regular dedicated time to focus on your creative practice.

You’ll build the discipline to put creativity at the heart of who you are.

You’ll identify and eradicate personal doubts, fears and unhelpful self-stories.

You’ll develop confidence, passion and a sense of purpose.

You’ll integrate all aspects of your self and become a more fully-rounded person.

You’ll experience a personal coaching process that serves your deepest, perhaps unacknowledged, needs.

You’ll shine more brightly.
